1. What databases are available through Tracxn APIs?
Tracxn provides APIs across multiple datasets such as companies, funding rounds, acquisitions, news, and more. You can view the complete and updated list of available APIs on the Postman API documentation.
If you do not find the dataset you are looking for, please reach out to our support team with your request so we can prioritise it accordingly.
2. How do I get an access token to use Tracxn APIs?
To use Tracxn APIs, you need an API access token.
You can generate a new token from the API Token page in your Tracxn account.
3. How many records can be retrieved per API request, and what are the rate limits?
Record limit: Up to 20 records can be retrieved in a single API call without applying additional filters. To fetch more records, pagination can be used.
Rate limiting: API requests are subject to rate limits to ensure platform stability. Please refer to the rate-limiting documentation link shared in the API documentation for detailed limits.
4. How does API credit usage work for unique companies?
API credits are consumed for each successful API call that returns data.
However, unique company billing works as follows:
The first successful access to a company counts as 1 unique company.
Repeated access to the same company does not increase the unique company count.
API calls that return empty or null responses do not consume credits.
This ensures you are not billed multiple times for accessing the same company data.
5. What is the process when an API access token expires?
An alert notification is sent 30 days prior to the API access token’s expiration. Once the token expires (or before expiry), a new API access token can be generated from the API Token page in your Tracxn account.
Steps to generate a new API access token:
Navigate to the API Token page in your Tracxn account
Click on Generate a new token
6. How can I integrate Tracxn with my CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
Tracxn offers multiple CRM integration options.
Native CRM Integrations:
HubSpot (Available)
Affinity (Available)
Zoho CRM (Coming Soon)
These provide easy setup and real-time data sync.
Embedded CRM Integrations:
Salesforce
Pipedrive
Microsoft Dynamics 365"
For Salesforce, Tracxn is integrated via an iframe-based embed, allowing users to search and view Tracxn data within Salesforce. The data is shown as a web view and is not directly pushed into Salesforce objects. Users need active Tracxn access to view the data.
Custom Integration via API
You can also use Tracxn APIs to build a custom integration where data flows directly into your CRM based on your internal requirements.
