The Soonicorn Club is a term coined by the Tracxn platform that provides a list of handpicked companies based on a variety of parameters that indicates their likelihood of becoming a Unicorn.
This term comprises two sub-terms namely Minicorn and Soonicorn.
Minicorn: Early-stage companies that show quick growth and other indications of becoming a Unicorn in the long run
Soonicorn: Companies that exhibit high valuation and other promising characteristics to become a Unicorn within a short period
Some of the signals we use for tagging a company under the Soonicorn Club are:-
Funding raised, valuation change, revenue growth, number of marquee customers, employee count growth, app downloads, social media followers, and traction in the media among many others.
