What are Advanced Filters?

Updated today

Advanced Filters help you build precise searches by combining multiple conditions within the Companies Database and other supported list pages. Instead of applying filters one by one, you can create structured queries using AND, OR, and NOT logic to refine your results. Advanced Filters are useful when you want to analyze companies, funding activity, or investors using multiple criteria at the same time.

What you can do with Advanced Filters

With Advanced Filters, you can:

πŸ”Ή Combine multiple conditions to narrow down search results

πŸ”Ή Exclude specific attributes from your search

πŸ”Ή Analyze companies across geographies, sectors, funding stages, or investor activity

πŸ”Ή Build complex research queries without running multiple searches

Example Use Cases

Early Stage India: Explore early-stage rounds in India for Alternative Lending raised from non-Indian investors.

Investor profiles: Find US/Canada Angel Investors who have invested in Unicorns AND previously worked at Apple or Google.

How to Use Advanced Filters

  1. Go to Explore Databases from the left navigation.

  2. Select Companies.

  3. Click Filters from the top-right corner of the page.

What is Export Option?

The Export option allows you to download company data from list pages into an Excel file for offline analysis, sharing, or internal reporting. You can customize the export to include only the data points relevant to your research instead of downloading the entire dataset.

How to Use Export

  1. Go to a list view such as the Companies Database.

  2. Apply filters or select the companies you want to export.

  3. Click the Export button available in the top navigation bar.

  4. Choose whether to export all results (up to 25,000 records) or a custom selection.

  5. Select the data categories you want to include, such as: Company Details. Investors, etc

  6. Select the preferred currency format for financial data.

  7. Review the required credits and confirm the export.

The system displays the number of credits required before completing the download.

For example, Find top 10 public companies founded in the last 2 years, sorted by total funding.
