How to manage Alerts in the Dashboard Builder?

What is Alerts Mail History?

The Alerts Mail History tab under the My Alerts page lets you view the history of all the 'Alert' mails sent to your inbox.

To view all alerts set up across the Tracxn platform:
​Go to User Menu (top-right corner of the Dashboard) > My Activity > Alerts > Alerts Mail History

  • Shows a list of all 'Alert' mails sent to you

  • Use quick filters like Source, Alert Name, and Alert Mail Date to narrow down the list

  • You can also view the alert mail history for a specific dashboard on the View Alert Mail History page in the dashboard


How many credits will I be charged to use the 'Export' feature?

Credits will not be deducted to use the Export feature in alert mails.


How can I exclude updates about old events?

  1. Go to the Alerts tab in the dashboard

  2. Under Content Settings, select Do not send updates about old events

  3. Click Save

This will exclude updates related to Old News, Funding Rounds, Soonicorn Activity, Acquisition Activity, and Reports from your alert mails.


How can I exclude duplicate updates?

  1. Open the respective dashboard

  2. Click Configure Board from the left pane

  3. Under Alert Settings > Advanced Settings, in the Content Settings section, check Remove duplicate updates from the alert mail

  4. Click Save

This ensures duplicate updates (present in multiple widgets) are included only once per alert mail.


How many Alerts can be set on one Dashboard?

You can configure only one alert per dashboard at a time.


When will I start getting the Alert mail on Dashboards?

  • You will receive the first alert mail within 24 hours of setting it

  • Alert mails are sent from [email protected]

  • You can search for alert mails in your inbox using the dashboard name

  • Dashboard Builder’s alert mail history can also be accessed from the Alerts Mail History page


How to re-configure an Alert?

  1. Go to My Dashboards and open the relevant dashboard

  2. Click Configure Board from the left pane

  3. In the New updates from the board section, under When do you want to receive the alert?, set the alert frequency

  4. You can also use the Custom option to define a specific date and time

  5. Click Save and take me to my board

Note:

  • Only one alert is allowed per dashboard

  • First mail may take up to 24 hours

  • If the dashboard is disabled, its alert will also be disabled


How to disable an Alert?

Option 1:

  • Open the dashboard from the My Dashboards page

  • Click Configure Board

  • Under When Do You Want To Receive This Alert?, select I do not want to receive this alert

  • Click Save and take me to my board

Option 2:


Can I share my Alerts along with my custom dashboards?

No, alerts set on a shared custom dashboard cannot be shared.
Each user must create their own alert for a shared dashboard.
